Positive Framing Learning objective: To be able use Positive Framing to ensure effective behaviour management in the classroom.

Positive Framing In groups read over the technique from the pages below. Be prepared to summarise your section for the rest of the group: Positive Framing - Page 380 Onwards Overview Live in the now Assume the best Allow plausible anonymity Build momentum by narrating the positive Challenge! Talk expectations and aspiration Avoid rhetorical questions and contingencies

Rewrite Positively Task: Rewrite the negatively framed statements on the sheet using Positive Framing.

Action Stations... TASK: Choose one person to be the teacher. The teacher reads the scenario to the group. The group act out the scenario while the teacher uses different positive framing techniques Then swap over so that everyone gets to have a starring role.
