Presentation transcript:

By Faaz Syed, Matt Pagano, and gabriel Dinardo Ocean food chain By Faaz Syed, Matt Pagano, and gabriel Dinardo

Sunlight Sunlight is the primary energy source for all food chains including the ocean one.

One celled life The one celled life gets energy from the sun. It is a PRODUCER. It produces more and more cells.

Shrimplike creatures Shrimplike creatures eat the cells that the one-celled lives produce. Shrimplike creatures are CONSUMERS. They get energy from eating one-celled lives.

Small Fish Small fish eat shrimplike-creatures to get energy. They are also CONSUMERS.

Mackerel Mackerel eats the small fish. Energy is being passed on to them. Once again, they are CONSUMERS.

Tuna Tuna eats two things. They eat small fish and mackerel. Once again and again...they are CONSUMERS.

Sharks Sharks are on the top of this food chain. They are also the last animal in it. Sharks eat almost everything in the food chain.

Closing This is the OCEAN FOOD CHAIN. There are plenty of other animals in the ocean. This is just the general food chain for the ocean.
