Quadrilateral Any four sided figure

Kite 4 sided figure with pairs of congruent adjacent sides.

Trapezoid 4 sided figure with at least 1 pair of parallel sides.

Parallelogram All of the attributes of a trapezoid, and 2 pairs of parallel sides (which results in congruent opposite angles)

Rhombus All of the attributes of a parallelogram and a kite Quadrilateral with 4 congruent sides

Rectangle All of the attributes of a parallelogram 4 right angles

Square All of the attributes of a parallelogram, rhombus, and rectangle 4 equal sides 4 equal angles
