Collection Banner Description (from collection page)

Collection Banner Highlight item and why important from CM. This will set tone for collection technical aspects and can be cut if not available per time.

Collection Banner Placeholder for inserting slides from standard UF Libraries development presentations?

Collection Banner Full text searchable and browse-able Cross-searchable with other University of Florida Digital Collections and individually searchable for optimum usability Available as Open Access, indexed by Google and other commercial search engines and available through other technologies for easy inclusion within other academic databases Digitally preserved Enhanced through digitization—searchable, map-able, usable in many new ways! Point 1: And for serendipity, researchers stumbling onto desired but previously unconsidered materials, browsing and the ah-ha moment! Digitally Preserved: Enhancing the past with full digital preservation that preserves the fidelity and integrity of materials while augmenting them with new digital functionality (full text searching, zoomability, mapping, protecting the archival document from being over-used/accessed)

Collection Banner Browse all items or new items. Browse by most recent item, title, or year. Browse with brief or tabular information or by thumbnail.

Collection Banner Search with keywords alone or with advanced options. Basic searching is like google—just type in the keywords to find results. The words can be anywhere in the results, which can mean too many results. Advanced searching. In those cases, users can choose the advanced search and easily search by the citation, which searches the metadata about the item including the title and author and place of publication, or users can do even more granular searches by author or title or many options found in library catalogs and more, like country, county, state, and city!
