Drawing and Painting Fun (3rd) - Tiles -

You can find T TT TILES in bathrooms and kitchens. The decorations alternate colours to make patterns.

TILES are in bathrooms and kitchens because these are the places in the house where there is water.

Muslim artists use colours and geometric shapes in TILES.

You can create patterns with geometric shapes on graph paper. LOOK: we can see squares, zig-zag lines, curved lines...

Geometric tile shapes Notice how the colours and patterns are repeated. What shapes can you see?

What geometric shape is this? SQUARE

What geometric shape is this? TRIANGLE

What geometric shape is this? RECTANGLE

What geometric shape is this? HEXAGON

TILES Now, complete the design with a pencil and colour with it; book (page ten).
