Polygons Quadrilaterals

How come? Square 1) Because it has 4 sides. 2) Because all of its sides are the same length. Don’t be a square! 3) Because it has 2 sets of parallel sides. 4) Because it has 4 right angles.

Rhombus How come? 1) Because it has 4 sides. 2) Because all of its sides are the same length. Don’t be a rhombus! 3) Because it has 2 set of parallel sides. 4) It may or may not have 4 right angles.

Call me SpongeBob Rectangle Pants. How come? 1) Because it has 4 sides. 2) Because its opposite sides are the same length. 3) Because it has 2 sets of parallel sides. 4) Because it has 4 right angles.

A Parallelogram is a flat shape with opposite sides parallel and equal in length. That’s Right!!! Traditional Parallelogram Traditional Square Traditional Rhombus Traditional Rectangle All 4 of these fit the definition above. Therefore, all 4 are parallelograms.

Trapezoid How come? 1) Because it has 4 sides. 2) Because it has 1set of parallel sides.
