Teleconference on March 31st May 2016 Teleconference on March 31st Marco presented PHY related TBDs. A motion to approve such TBDs in DCN 16-321r0 was passed. Marco will provide the security clause based on AES in GCM mode. Still the KMP is in exploratory stage. The group continues the review of the latest Draft till p. 44 Actions: The text for cyclic superframe requires revision (language, configuration, etc.) by SS Joo. Billy will check if link ID addressing is filtered or not. The TBDs about security will be addressed when Marco presents the security clause. Hernandez (NICT)

Teleconference on April 14th May 2016 Teleconference on April 14th Billy explains that in some cases the link ID as source address may not be enough: Like in case of enhanced ACK, the MAC needs the real source address to send such enhanced ACK. There is not text describing the management and assignment of link IDs. Options: Do we need to maintain a table of link IDs? Leave the issue to upper layers. Delete link ID. Hernandez (NICT)

Teleconference on April 14th May 2016 Teleconference on April 14th The group continues the review of the latest Draft r6 Actions: The text in synchronization clause needs to be revised with BJ. In page 45, line 12 “measurement” needs to be clarified and defined; what is measured? “maintaining synchronization procedure”, is used as a noun sometimes and as an action other times, making the text unclear In page 46, line 26, “sleep mode” has not been defined before. Hernandez (NICT)

Teleconference on April 27th May 2016 Teleconference on April 27th The group continues the review of the latest Draft rX Actions: In the text in 5.4.3 Discovery procedure, terms like “discovery request message” need to be changed by the respective service primitive. H.B. Li volunteers to make the changes. The text in 5.4.3.4 Discovery procedure many-to-many group needs to be revised as it is unclear. H.B. Li will revise it. Hernandez (NICT)

Teleconference on May 11th HB Li presented contribution on discovery. 2 more discovery primitives are required: MLME.Discovery.indication and MLME.Report.request. There is no procedure for discovery group ACK. Discovery Group ID is said to be set in upper layers, although it is uncertain. Hernandez (NICT)

Teleconference on May 11th Marco presented DCN 16-367r0 “Security for TG8” The security clause requires full source address (MAC address) to bind a message integrity code (MIC) and additional authentication code (AAC) to the encrypted MPDU for integrity and authentication checking for a given PD. This is in accordance and common practices in other IEEE Stds like 802.11 for security. SS Joo presented clarifications of the cyclic superframe He mentions the revised text in the Draft about cyclic superframe will be presented in the Hawaii meeting. Last but not least, the group will discuss the situation of BJ. Hernandez (NICT)
