Bodies of Water LT: I can identify and describe bodies of water.

Ocean A large body of salt water that surrounds a continent The United States is bordered by two oceans – the Atlantic and the Pacific

River A large, flowing body of water that usually empties into a sea or ocean.

Part of the ocean that is partly surrounded by land Gulfs and Bays Gulf Part of the ocean that is partly surrounded by land Bay Body of water that is partly enclosed by land and is usually smaller than a gulf.
