How we contribute to a Safer Workplace Regardless of our title or position in the company, each of us play a variety of roles.

How we contribute to a Safer Workplace We are: Architects, Commanders, Carpenters.

As Commanders, we: Observe, Plan, Analyze, Take Command, Engage Others, and Set an Example.

As a Safety Commanders, we Take command of our work area, Observe our surroundings, identifying potential hazards, Plan our work to ensure we are safe, Continually analyze the work to ensure we are achieving expected results, and that there are no new hazards, Inform others of potential hazards and ask for assistance when needed, and Perform our work safely while following all safety precautions.

As Architects, we: Define the problem, Conduct research, Specify requirements, Collect Ideas, Develop Solution, Test Solution, Communicate Results.

As a Safety Architects, we Anticipate potential safety hazards of our new product or process design, Build safety into the design, Test the design to ensure all of the safety features work to keep us, and others, safe, and Communicate safety hazards, controls, and precautions to affected people.

As Carpenters, we: Ensure we have the necessary skills to do the job, Analyze the work area, Plan the work to be performed, Follow policies and instructions, Continually monitor our progress.

As a Safety Carpenters, we Only perform activities for which we are qualified, Assess the work area to identify potential hazards, Plan our task to ensure we can do it safely, Obey all safety rules, and Continually monitor our work area to identify any new hazards.
