Entry Task Free Write: America is a country in which… Think about: What kind of country is this? What kinds of people live here? What are our values, culture, history, etc. Good things in our past? Bad things? What do you want this country to be? How can we get better?

Civil Rights Unit Group Project: Teach the class about a civil rights leader Who they were (where were they from, family, career, etc.) What they believed in and fought for What they did (accomplishments, struggles) Results (did they make change? What are they doing now?)

Project Requirements You will have 15 minutes to teach us about your person All members of the group must contribute You must have some sort of visual aid (powerpoint, poster, video clip, worksheet/handout) You must write 2 multiple choice questions (for a unit quiz)
