Film 6 Date: School of Rock 6 Objectives Examine different camera shots – realising that how the camera shows us things is also important. Start School of Rock viewing for the second and final time.

These are the different camera angles or ‘shots’ which are popular in film. Before we begin, can anyone name these angles or types of shots?

Before we begin, can anyone name these angles or types of shots? When the camera zooms in, we feel closer / more connected to it. When we’re further away – it seems smaller / less important. Directors know hundreds of tricks to make you feel stuff.

Notes – notes copy Six shots on the bingo sheet – homework will be to write them down. While watching the movie this time – play ‘Movie Shots Bingo’ First to find and be able to explain where all the shots were gets a prize. Also note anything you need for your essay – quotes, evidence or details to back up your points.
