Presentation transcript:

Add style to presentations with Designer PowerPoint Designer is a new feature that looks at your content and automatically generates professional-looking design suggestions for slides that have photos. It also turns text into an easily readable SmartArt graphic.

Get set up to use Designer Before learning to use Designer with pictures and text, follow these three steps to get started. Select the slide to which you will add a picture or text. Go to Design > Design Ideas. A message will appear asking your permission to get design ideas. Select Let’s Go. Note: The first time you use Designer, the Let’s Go message will automatically appear. For Designer support, learn more here.

Use Designer with pictures The Designer pane will often automatically appear when a slide has pictures to arrange. TIP: If the Designer pane does not appear, you can bring up Designer at any time by going to Design > Design Ideas. After you select Let’s Go, the Designer pane will automatically show you a wide range of design suggestions. Select a thumbnail to apply that design idea to your slide. On the next slide, try it with the provided photo.

Use Designer with text The Designer pane will often automatically appear when a slide has a bulleted list to arrange. It reacts by offering to turn your text into a SmartArt graphic to represent that list. TIP: If the Designer pane does not appear, you can bring up Designer at any time by going to Design > Design Ideas. After you select Let’s Go, the Designer pane will automatically show you a wide range of design suggestions. Select a thumbnail to apply that design idea to your slide. On the next slide, try it with the provided sample text.

Try Designer for yourself with sample text Select this slide. If the Designer pane does not appear, bring up Designer by going to Design > Design Ideas. Select a design suggestion to apply that design idea to this slide.
