1. What is a resume/CV “a document that provides a summary of your education, work history, credentials, and other accomplishment and skills,... ...tailored specifically for each job or course that you apply for.”

Why might we need one? If a recruiter states ‘apply in writing’, this usually means sending a resume and covering letter. You may be asked to send a resume with an application form. An online recruitment website may ask you to submit a resume in order to match you against suitable jobs. You may wish to make a speculative application to an organisation which hasn’t formally advertised a position. You may want to hand it out to organisations at recruitment fairs. *British people do not say ‘resume’. Instead we say ‘CV’.
