Quadrilateral Definition: Any closed four-sided figure. Some Examples:

Trapezoid Definition: A quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides. Picture: Opposite sides marked parallel.

Kite Definition: A quadrilateral with two distinct pairs of consecutive congruent sides. Picture: Sides next to each other marked congruent.

Parallelogram Definition: A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides. Picture: Marked parallel and congruent.

Rhombus Definition: Two pairs of parallel sides and 4 congruent sides. Picture: Marked parallel and congruent.

Rectangle Definition: Two pairs of parallel sides and 4 congruent angles Picture: Marked parallel, congruent and 4 right angles.

Square Definition: 4 congruent sides and 4 congruent angles Picture: Marked parallel, congruent and four right angles.
