One Team Week Wednesday 7 June – Tuesday 13 June GP hotline: 020 7188 4488 Goals of the week In-hospital A whole hospital response to current emergency pressures Earlier, quicker availability of senior speciality decision-makers in the Emergency Department More rapid direction of patients to the most appropriate clinical area outside the ED for assessment and/or treatment To trial new ways of working eg: direct admissions to the Acute Assessment Ward, increased mental health support To review current escalation procedures Out of hospital Better primary care access to speciality advice One number to access decision makers across all specialities More senior advice, more rapidly available Direct triage to speciality clinic if appropriate Helping to prevent unnecessary emergency attendances Available 24/7
