Instructions for Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training How to Register for the CITI Course

Access the course at http://www. citiprogram. org Access the course at http://www.citiprogram.org. Once there, click on the Register Here link

Go to the Participating Institutions drop‐box Go to the Participating Institutions drop‐box. In the drop‐box, select Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Choose a Log‐In ID and a password that will be easy for you to remember, yet secure. (The password must be 8‐12 characters, and consist of letters and numbers only.)

Enter your first and last name; then enter your IUP email address along with a secondary email, if preferred. Then hit the “Submit” button to register. If your preferred User ID has already been taken, you will be prompted to choose another User ID. Be sure to write down or otherwise record your ID and password. Keep them in a secure location.

Once all information is entered, click “Submit”. Enter information into all required fields (*) and any additional fields Choose roles from Principal Investigator, Investigator, Research Assistant, Student Researcher – Graduate, Student Researcher – Undergraduate, Research Fellow – Post Graduate, Institutional Official or Research Administrator Chose the appropriate course: Responsible Conduct of Research Once all information is entered, click “Submit”.

Now you’re at the course curriculum screen Now you’re at the course curriculum screen. Scroll down to Question 3 (Responsible Conduct of Research Courses) and choose the course that is most closely related to your discipline and/or research project. If you are not sure which course is most applicable to your area, ask your faculty advisor or contact the IUP-Research Institute at 724-357-2223. Once you’ve chosen the appropriate selection scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Submit”

Check “No” as your response to this section and continue to #10.

Registration is now complete Registration is now complete. At the Main Menu you will be able to begin the Responsible Conduct of Research course you have selected. Under the My Courses line, you should see the course title that you selected. Select Enter to begin the course. Choose this link to add additional course work, if necessary.
