Using money to pay for things

Today we will learn… how money is used to pay for things that we need to keep track of our money

Which coins do you recognise? Click on each coin shadow and the coin will appear, starting with lowest worth to highest worth.

Shopping Things to think about… What does the item cost? Do I have enough money? What can I do if I don’t have enough? Will I need change - if so how much? How can I work out how much money I have spent altogether?

So today we have learnt… how to pay for things when going to the shops that when we pay for things we may get some coins back, this is called change that it’s important to check that we are given the correct change from the shopkeeper
