What are the consequences of global warming on the distribution of water ? Introduction : Global warming has lots of consequences on water : the ice melts, there are floods and droughts, acid rain... And the distribution of water is changing. Finding solutions become an urgent way to save the world !

THE DISTRIBUTION OF WATER IN THE WORLD

The Blue Planet The Earth is called « blue Planet ».This blue colour is caused by reflection from the oceans which cover 70% of the area of the Earth.Water is distributed on Earth as freshwater and salt water in the oceans. Typically, fresh water is defined as water with a salinity of less than 1 percent than that of the oceans, below 0.035‰.

The freshwater is just 2,5% of the total water of the world and more than 6 billion of people have to share it. Unfortunately this water isn't shared well in the different countries.

THE DISTRIBUTION OF WATER

Distribution of the world's human population and available freshwater across six continents

THE CONSEQUENCE OF GLOBAL WARMING

Geopolitic of water
