Landforms

A mountain is land that is higher than all the land around it.

Desert A desert is dry land that may sometimes be very hot. Plants that need little water grow in deserts

Valley A valley is low land between hills or mountains. Many kinds of trees grow well in a valley

A plain is a large, flat area of land. A plain can be grassy.

Plateau A plateau is an area of flat land that is higher than the land around it.

Coast A coast is land next to the ocean. The coast of Georgia is on the Atlantic Ocean
