Land relief Mountain ranges UNIT 6 Land relief Mountain ranges These are large groups of mountains spread over a wide area. Examples of mountain ranges include the Pyrenees and the Alps in Europe, the Andes in South America and the Rocky Mountains in North America. Natural Science 2. UNIT 6 Land relief Plains These are large areas of flat land, sometimes found at high elevations. They form the largest part of continental land relief.
