Anthony Browne

Anthony Browne used gorillas in his books but why? It reminded him of his dad because he looks like a gorilla Because they are so much like humans

As a child As a child he grew up in Yorkshire by a village called Hipperholme. He loved art and would spend hours drawing with his dad. He wanted to be a journalist, cartoonist, or a boxer. As a adult As you can see Anthony Browne is a author, he has written books like: My mum, zoo, gorilla, the shape game, noises in the park and Willy the wimp and he has written about 40 books.

Things you don't know about Athony Browne ..! He was once asked to do a children's books show with gorillas but one bit him on the leg. He used to go in a pub which he grew up in and would stand on a table and tell story's His character willy was based on his younger life He wanted a trumpet for his birthday but got a plastic one instead. He wore short trousers until he was 15
