Services Panagiotis Bouklis European Dynamics SA. Smart Integrated Robotics System for SMEs controlled by IoTs based on Dynamic Manufacturing Processes Services Panagiotis Bouklis European Dynamics SA.

Traditional Technology Transfer Centers (TTC) Isolated TCs limited infrastructure, focused expertise, slow knowledge development input and supply to innovation is unilateral Focus on PR with industry rather than real experimenting and collaborative innovation Low TRL levels (1-3) rather than readiness for production (TRL 6-7) Lack of real-life PoC scenarios

HORSE Centers of Competence What are they? Settings representative of manufacturing installations: France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovenia Robot and supplies used in production lines. Their role? Simplify usage and facilitate access to robotics by European industry and especially first users SME. Offer expert support for advising on deployment and fast assessment of robotics solutions in manufacturing. Capitalise lessons learnt and best practices. Their scope? Capturing the industrial ecosystem in each region and addressing real industrial challenges

3 TTC to CCs 3 HORSE CCs are equipped and set up exploiting and upgrading existing facilities, equipment, experience France – Paris-Saclay-CEA Germany – Munich-TUM Netherlands – Delft-TNO Developing and promoting in common the HORSE framework HORSE CCs are networked, sharing common approaches, technologies & know-how Common approaches are enhanced with own/specialised focus and expertise and development of their regional presence

CCs Approach Setting up the concepts of the HORSE CCs and their services as examples to take up in Europe in areas of: networking among themselves and with their ecosystem aligning approaches i.e. developing scenarios for demonstrating HORSE, promoting its value Setting up common and differentiating infrastructure Structured exchanging of technological know-how, adopting common standards Developing services Approaching regional SMEs and policy actors Business modeling

Setting up a new CC in Slovenia One completely new CC is being established in Slovenia- Celje-TCS Capitalized by the set-up of 3 CCs Contributes to the set up of common approaches Adopts them and promotes them in Slovenia The lessons learned will be reported for new CCs, thus providing a seed for the future and a model for the deployment of Competence Centres in Europe

How CCs in HORSE differ from TTC? Well-networked in Europe and in the regions with the ecosystem (suppliers, adopters, policy makers) Infrastructure and knowledge are developed in common, and promoted at a regional level, thus reaching wider SME population in Europe Expertise is gained faster due to collaborations Demonstrations of high TRL and high industrial relevance (demonstrations are based on real industrial challenges and stakeholders) Own sustainability is ensured
