Where it Applies And What it Does: It is a national policy Its purpose is to clean contaminated land, respond to environmental emergencies like oil spills and protect the health of the public/environment through visible decontamination efforts It affects all manners of environmental issues since it works to clean the environment and respond to any environmental disaster It is regulated and enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
