Declaration of the Rights of Man Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen Liberté, egalité and fraternité People have the natural right to property, security, and resistance to oppression. Owed much to the American Declaration of Independence The King Louis XVI refused to sign this because it was too egalitarian
