OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION Family and Consumer Sciences 342 Campbell Hall 1787 Neil Avenue Columbus, OH 43210 The Ohio Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed) is a no-cost nutrition education program serving low-income adults and youth throughout Ohio. Its goal is to improve the likelihood that persons receiving SNAP benefits will make healthy food choices within a limited budget and choose physically active lifestyles consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the USDA food guidance. SNAP-Ed operates in 52 states and territories and targets individuals and families eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly food stamp program). SNAP-Ed is funded by USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service and in partnership with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. SNAP-Ed uses interactive approaches with participants who attend classes. Explore more at fcs.osu.edu Healthy People, Healthy Finances and Healthy Relationships
