Parent Involvement Attend 9 th Grade Parent Orientation & Annual Open House (5 SEP 2012) Support of School Activities Go to school-sponsored workshops and information sessions Stay informed (Parent newsletters, WHS website, & ) Volunteer as a SIC/PAC member

Focus of SIC/PAC Our focus as a council continues to be exploring ways in which parents are made to feel empowered to be proactive in the decisions and events of their childs high school years, rather than reactive to situations after they have occurred. –WHS School Improvement Plan

Focus Achievement Making information available in a timely manner Establishing a recognizable, dependable means through which to obtain information Having contact persons available and responsive to field questions

Focus Goal To work in a partnership with a common goal – the success of each child and his/her preparedness for life beyond WHS.
