My Inspiration… My Inspiration… Bria Nicole Harvey

Mission Statement Brias House is a nonprofit organization that is committed to: R aising awareness for pool safety. A ssisting low-income families with the cost of swimming lessons and aqua safety equipment. C ardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training and certification. E ncouraging parents to educate themselves on pool supervision and accident prevention. Brias Houses is in a RACE to reduce accidental drowning and pool injuries.

Water Safety Is Important Drowning is a quick and silent killer. In the time it takes to: cross the room for a towel (10 seconds), a child in the bathtub can become submerged. answer the phone (2 minutes), that child can lose consciousness. sign for a package at your front door (4 to 6 minutes), a child submerged in the bathtub or pool can sustain permanent brain damage.

Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury fatalities for children age 4 and younger. For children 14 and younger, drowning is second leading cause of unintentional injury fatalities. Facts…

Take The Steps It Will Make A Difference! A total of 300 people drown in Texas every year. In Houston there is a drowning death every other day between May 1 and August 31.

Purpose The purpose of Brias House is to raise funds to allow under privileged children the opportunity to take swim lessons so their parents will not have to experience the pain and loss I experience daily. Bria lives on and with the help of your donation we can help a child learn to swim and save their life. You can mail your donations payable to: Brias House 5938 Sattler Park Dr. Houston, Texas Thank You !
