Now we see dimly, as in a mirror, but then face to face Now we see dimly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

Heaven is a perfect, happy, sin-free, joy-filled, beyond wonderful eternity with God and God’s people. Revelation 21:3-4, 27 1 Corinthians 2:9 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Right now: all the “saints” are spirits in a spiritual heaven.

Right now: all the “saints” are spirits in a spiritual heaven. At the rapture: everyone will be given heavenly (incorruptible, immortal) bodies.

Right now: all the “saints” are spirits in a spiritual heaven. Eventually: God will create a (physical) new heaven and earth where we will spend eternity in our heavenly bodies. At the rapture: everyone will be given heavenly bodies

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed. 2 I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:1-2

What will heaven be like (on the New Earth)? Better – a lot better – than earth. greater beauty/variety perfect relationships only positive emotions heavenly bodies

What will we do in heaven (on the New Earth)? We will perfectly please God in every way. We will do everything for God’s glory.

Whether we are at home (on earth) or away (in heaven), we make it our aim to be pleasing to God. (2 Corinthians 5:9) And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17) Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
