Function Supports a government program in order to sustain and recover “threatened and endangered animals and plants and the habitats in which they are found” Protect any listed species from habitat destruction and government actions that may “jeopardize the continued existence” Regulates the use of all pesticides in U.S. and sets limits for pesticide residues in food Establish the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora(CITES) Creates a worldwide list of endangered species
