THE STORY OF ZACCHAEUS LUKE 19 By Becky Kew Published at www.GospelHall.org

The Lord Jesus was coming to the town of Jericho. Crowds followed the Lord Jesus everywhere he went. He did wonderful things for many people!

There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a tax collector, and very rich There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a tax collector, and very rich. He was also a really short man.

Zacchaeus Collected money that people owed to the government. He Would take Some Of the money and put It in his own pocket. What did that make Him?

The Bible says Zacchaeus sought to see Jesus. He was so short he could not get through the crowd, people were rude to him. But God saw that he was seeking.

He had no peace because of his sin.

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED ABOUT ZACCHAEUS?

Zacchaeus took action! He wasn’t going to let anything stop him from getting to the Lord Jesus!

He climbed a sycomore tree!

Zacchaeus thought that no one could see him up in the tree Zacchaeus thought that no one could see him up in the tree. Who really could though?

The Lord Jesus said, “Come down, Zacchaeus.”! He came down quickly! Good for Zacchaeus!

The Lord Jesus is looking for you to “come down” too. WE are not as “good” as we think we are.

All have sinned. This means you and me!

Zacchaeus, received the Lord Jesus joyfully! WHAT ABOUT YOU?

The Lord Jesus went to Zacchaeus’s house that day! The people talked and said, “Jesus is going to a sinner’s house!” Zacchaeus told the Lord jesus, “he was going to repay everyone four times as much that he had stolen.” He also would give half of his goods to the poor.

Zacchaeus had a change of heart! He was forgiven.

Jesus said, “Salvation has come to your house today, Zacchaeus.” The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10 By Becky Kew Published at www.GospelHall.org
