Arrival and Departure on the 14th Students arrive to school at 3:30 AM Depart at 4:00 AM (we will not wait for you) Students will know their bus and group the Friday before we leave Keep luggage with them Parents can leave once student is with chaperone or waiting in front of the correct bus Wear shirts- camp surf Tie Dye shirts on the way home If child is prone to car sickness, medicate before they arrive. Bring breakfast
Breakfast during bus ride Please send a HEALTHY breakfast and drink with your child- not crumbly, or needing refrigeration. Can not bring extra food to camp- remaining food will need to be thrown away. Drink should be water only NO CANDY or CHIPS ALL Candy/ Chips will be taken
Dinner on way home Will be stopping for dinner on the 16th Must give $10 in cash to teacher by May 4th Must be cash We hold on to it for the student. Change is used for the bus driver tip (trust me, they earn it 55 6th graders is a challenging drive) When 1 hour out, message will be sent out via remind. Also at 30 minutes and again at 15 minutes. We will send the last one when we drive up. PLEASE be on time. Your child misses you!

Ocean Ocean afternoon (weather permitting) One piece suits Shirt over 2 piece suits No Speedos Lifeguards create a human barrier so students don’t go in farther than they can stand. Flags keep them in a confined space. This portion of the beach is private. Students are taught about safety and riptides before they are able to enter the water. Counselors in water
Items NOT to bring IPODS, MP3 players, tablets CELL PHONES! Camp Surf is a technology free campus for Campers Teachers and chaperones will have cell phones kids can use for calling only (no game playing) if needed. The camp has a phone they can use too You can call the emergency number on the parent information sheet if you need to contact your child or send a message to the teachers through remind. Any form of Electronics Candy Food Toys Fidgets These Items will be taken and infraction will be recorded as part of the school behavior documentation system infraction form-NO EXCEPTIONS.

Medicine Medicine bag This includes over the counter medication and vitamins Place all medicine with instructions into a Ziploc bag Medicine Form will be sent with paperwork Clearly labeled with child name Give to Mrs. Rhoades before departure Chaperone medication will need to be given to the teacher on your bus. If you want medicine to be available for your child to take in case they need it (aspirin etc.) you need to provide it in the medicine bag.
Chaperones Boy Scout Rule-Two adults per cabin With them in cabin and in group Responsible for their group Group on back of lanyard 1:8 ratio maximum most groups are smaller 4 teachers also attending (no assigned group to help where needed)
