Bohr Model http://abyss.uoregon.edu/~js/glossary/bohr_atom.html
Bohr’s model principles Fact 1: First to theorize the idea that electrons are on fixed orbits. Bohr said electrons are on fixed orbits also called “stationary” orbits Each orbit has an energy amount; the smallest is located closest to the nucleus it is E1 the next Is E2 and so on… Light is emmited when an electron jumps from a higher electron and light is absorbed when jumping from a lower orbit http://www.iun.edu/~cpanhd/C101webnotes/modern-atomic-theory/Bohr-model.html
Fact 2: The quantum theory of atomic processes was proposed by Niels Bohr in the year 1913, and was based on the atomic model proposed earlier by Rutherford. Fact 3: Bohr's theory could explain why atoms emitted light in fixed wavelengths. http://chemistry.tutorcircle.com/inorganic-chemistry/niels-bohr-atomic-theory.html
Fact 4: The Bohr model is no longer accepted as a valid model of the atom Fact 5: In 1913, Niels Bohr proposed a theory for the hydrogen atom based off of quantum theory stating that energy is transferred only in well defined quantities. http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/physics/laureates/1922/bohr-facts.html
