Lesson 6. 1. 2 – How can I move a shape on a grid Lesson 6.1.2 – How can I move a shape on a grid? - Rigid Transformations on a Coordinate Plane Objective - I will be able to describe the movement of a shape within a coordinate plane. Quote of the Day - “Regardless of the difficulties we may face individually, in our families, in our communities and in our nation, the old adage is still true - you can make excuses or you can make progress, but you cannot make both!”  ― Mia Love

Translation: Moving a shape from one location to another without rotating or reflecting the shape. Sliding a shape from one location to another without changing it’s orientation Rotation: Turning a shape a given number of degrees in a given direction of rotation, ie: clockwise or counterclockwise Reflection: Flipping a shape across a given line of reflection. The reflected shape does not change size or shape, but it becomes the mirror reflection of the original shape.
