A few months ago people in Turkey protested against the government bulldozing a park to build a shopping mall. 4

The protest started off pretty small but because it was an anti- government protest the media were banned from reporting it. 6

So there was no TV news stories and no newspaper articles about the protests. 7

The protests started off small and peaceful until the police did some pretty nasty stuff. 8

Then when people started to get angry the protests got MASSIVE. 13

Did people in Europe in the 1940’s have digital cameras? Did they have the Twitter? Did they have Facebook? 17
