Basin Modeling System Basin of Bo Hai Sea Basin Modeling System gathers non-conforming DDM together with parallel algorithms. It considers the existence of the most complicated geological event namely the fault evolution. The creative idea is to regard fault as the interfaces of sub-domains, and apply Lagrange multiplier to deal with the non-conformity derived from the fault movement. All kinds of geological conditions which influence the basin evolution and fault movement are considered synthetically in the system. It simulates successfully the oil & gas basin’s birth and evolution.
