Objectives Notification of a new designed tag Identify the differences on the tag Removal of all other tags in your system Review the distribution process

Who has supported and approved the change? King County Fire Chiefs Seattle Fire Department NW regional pre-hospital trauma committee Dr. Copass HMC/Seattle Medic One King County EMS All King County Zones 1-5 ALS Reps

FRONT side of the new tag Top part of tag stays with patient to the hospital. The bottom gets torn off and held at the transport area.

FRONT side of the new tag Patient info gets filled out on both top and bottom.

Tag Use Options to numbering patients: Write your own patient numbering Use the red sequential numbering 2. IC or the Medical Group needs to establish what numbering system should be used for the incident. 3. Tag number gets filled out at the funnel point. 4. Tag gets attached to patient using the colored triage tape.

Distribution Process King County EMS will be the lead agency to provide treatment tags for all departments. Each agency will be provided an initial amount of tags to use. Additional replacement tags are to be requested through King County EMS.

Additional Requests Please remove all tags currently being used at your agency once the new tags arrive. This new tag is the only approved treatment tag for King County. Thank you for your time and effort to help improve our MCI system.
