Inherited Traits A polar bear is covered with clear fur. It is oily and water repellant. The sun reflect the white snow and makes the polar bear’s fur appear white. This helps it camouflage.

On cold days, the polar bear curls up and covers it’s muzzle. On warm days, the polar bear lays on it’s back with it’s feet up.

Interesting Facts A polar bear’s fur is actually clear, not white. A female can have babies when she is only 4 or 5 years old.
