Sacrament Changes & Info. Training For Students To Get Involved In The Mass. New High School Youth Group Info – For All 9th-12th Graders. Confirmation Prep For Teens Going Into 9th Grade This Year. Adult & Family Religious Education- Including Some Humor & A Family Challenge… Religious Ed Theme, Theme Song… Schedule For The 2018/2019 Religious Ed Year – Session A, Session B, High School Youth Group & Confirmation. Confirmation 2018: The kids who prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation will have one meeting as a kind of get to know you and rehearsal. The date and time for the rehearsal/meeting will be confirmed this fall once the date for Confirmation Mass has been sent from the Archdiocese – and no, I won’t schedule it on the homecoming weekend, Sept. 29th!

Confirmation Fall of 2018… The Confirmation Mass will be in October or November. We have sent in a request for dates to the Archdiocese and I will advise you via the bulletin once I hear back. *If you would like an email update, please sign up with your name and email address at the table!

1-8 Parents Do Not Need To Attend Religious Education Class With Their Kids… Classes Will Be Held Every Other Week For Grades 1-8… All 1st-5th Grade Classes Will Be Held At Ann Antolini School from 5:45-6:45pm. Middle School Sessions Will Be Held At the OLOH Social Center from 7:00-8:15pm

Each grade from 1st to 8th will have two options for class times – Session “A” or Session “B” You choose which session/day is best for your schedule (just one). *The session that you register for is the session that your student will attend; they are not interchangeable.

New TextBook Series for Grades 1-5! Faith & Life by Ignatius Press…! Grades 1-5 will be using the Faith & Life Textbooks. It’s loved by kids and has short 2 ½ page chapters that clearly and succinctly explain the lessons. There are even question/answer pages to help you ensure that you understand the points of the lesson!

Sacrament of Reconciliation: Second Graders Will Be Making Their First Reconciliation In February Of 2019. Once Specific Dates Are Determined They Will Be Posted In The Parish Bulletin; I’ll Also Send An Email If You Provide It… *Parent Meetings for the Sacrament of Reconciliation are offered 09/06 and 09/07- you only need to attend one.

First Holy Communion! The 2nd graders will also be receiving their First Holy Communion this year: May 0f 2019! The Parent Meeting for First Holy Communion is on 09/06 or 09/07, the same as the First Reconciliation Parent Meeting. Only choose one. The 1st Holy Communion rehearsals will be May 3rd & May 10th depending on which weekend you choose to sign up for receiving the First Holy Eucharist – Either May 5th or May 12th weekend.

Third Graders! 1st Communion Weekends* May 5th and May 12th Third Graders Will Also Be Making Their First Holy Communion this Year… the 3rd grade Catechists will prepare them! The 1st Communion rehearsals will be the weekends of May 3rd and May 10th depending on which weekend you choose to sign up for receiving the First Holy Eucharist: 1st Communion Weekends* May 5th and May 12th You will have 8 Masses to choose from: any Mass time at either church location on either of the two weekends.

& All Fourth & Fifth Graders will be trained on how to be an Altar Server!

6th, 7th, 8th Grade! All Middle Schoolers will be trained on how to be an Usher & Greeter!

High School Youth Group for Grades 9-12! WHAT’S NEW FOR TEENS… High School Youth Group for Grades 9-12! Once a month Teens Will Have a Bible Study and/or a Talk From A Parishioner Who Lives the Faith in a Unique Way…Sessions will be held once a month on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:15. Dates are noted on the Handout: Schedule. There Will Also Be Regular Service Project Opportunities for the Teens to Participate In. Information will be in the bulletin and on our website. *The Teens Can Come to Any or All Youth Groups and Service Projects – They Are Always Welcome!*

Confirmation Fall of 2019 For Students Going Into 9th Grade This School Year, Preparations for Confirmation Will Be Once a Month on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm at the Social Center. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Some classes will be for both the Confirmation candidate and their Sponsor. If their sponsor cannot come, then a parent, god-parent, etc. can fill in. *Any students in 10th-12th grade who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation may also sign up for this Sacramental preparation!

Confirmation for the Fall of 2019… Students in 9th grade for the 2018-2019 school year will be preparing for Confirmation in the Fall of 2019. Confirmation dates and the Confirmation/Sponsor dates are on the 2018-2019 handout Schedule. Confirmation classes will be from 6-7pm (one hour before Youth Group) once a month. We will be providing pizza and drinks on those evenings. Youth Group is scheduled immediately after Confirmation classes (7:00-8:15pm) which prevents having to drive back n forth!

Adult Religious Education… Because Your Faith Should Grow,Too!

ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION! All Families (one person to one clan!) Will Receive a Weekly Family Mass Devotional With The Sunday Gospel Reading, and a Reflection Question for the Car Ride On the Way To and Back Home From Mass! Such a great way to share faith as a family! Parents of Kids Making a Sacrament Will Be Given a Refresher Course on What the Sacrament is All About…
