Did you know … You can get a free health evaluation at your workplace The evaluation is offered during working hours and only takes about 10 to 15 minutes. When you participate you will receive printed and on-line personalized health education materials and the chance to work one-on-one with a professional health coach. This program is confidential, and available to all employees. You will incur no out-of-pocket expense for this evaluation if you are on the school district’s medical insurance. Employees not on the medical insurance are invited to participate for $175. Watch for details about how you can participate in this great benefit program

Did you know … 1 in 3 Americans has heart disease Nearly 1 in every 3 Americans has some form of heart disease including high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, heart failure, stroke and other conditions. Cholesterol is recognized as one of the best indicators of heart disease. Cardiovascular disease accounts for about $1 out of every $6 spent on health care. Between 2010 and 2030 the cost of medical care for heart disease will rise from $273 billion to $818 billion.
