Presentation transcript:

I believe in God who is Father

who has created me and the whole universe,

I recognize that he is full of power, wisdom and love; he is the author of all that exists.

I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Messiah, the Anointed. He is the only begotten Son of God, eternally united with the Father, He is the Word of God, true man and true God.

I believe the Word of God took on flesh and became a man for our salvation. He was conceived by the Power of the Holy Spirit In the Holy Virgin’s womb. I believe that Jesus, Mary's son, is the son of God.

I believe He suffered under Pontius Pilate, He was crucified, died and was buried.

I believe that Jesus Christ gave up his heavenly glory to be able to suffer for us, He took on the punishment for our sins by dying.

I believe that, after his death, he went to the place where the spirits of the dead were to liberate the captives that had not yet received his redemption.

I believe Jesus conquered death by the power of His resurrection. He destroyed death because He had no sin,

and death is the price for our sins. He died, so we can have eternal life.

I believe in Jesus' fidelity, who is seated at the right hand of God as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

There, he prepares a place for our souls and he sends the Holy Spirit to give us hope and trust in him.

I believe in the third person of the Holy Trinity, I believe the Holy Spirit is our God, our protector, our teacher and comforter. He is the Spirit of love and peace of the Father and the Son who has made us temples of his Glory.

I believe that Jesus founded his Church upon Peter, the rock, and that this Church is still solid by the power of His words, through the apostolic succession until today.

I believe we must obey the teachings of the Church, One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. I believe the Church is Christ's body, He is the head and we are his members.

By the Grace of God we remain in his Spirit and we enter in communion with the souls of those who have already gone before Him. I believe in the triumphant Church of Heaven, formed by all the saints in Christ.

I believe in the suffering Church formed by those who are being purified in purgatory.

I believe in the militant Church, formed by all those baptized who are living their lives for God in this world.

I believe that all sins can be forgiven because Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

I believe in the power of forgiveness of sins given by Christ to the Apostles and continued by apostolic succession to all Catholic and Orthodox Priests in the Sacrament of Penance where we reconcile ourselves with God.

I believe in Christ's Words who said, "I will lift you up on the last day." "Whatever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, you do to me."

I believe in His promises of eternal life. Amen
