Goals of the Institute Technology development and sustained innovations related to clean manufacturing Jobs creation through technology transfer and innovation Reduce embedded energy of materials through recycling, reuse and remanufacturing Global leader in clean manufacturing

Funding Available from DOE $70 M DOE /$70 M+ others 20% or approx. $30 M expected to stay in MI 50% cost share required from all projects Cash, facilities, equipment, employee time Request from MEDC is $20 Millions for MI companies (startups, small, medium, large) Facility building (location TBD but preferably on the west side of the state) Workforce training

Institute that consists of: Universities (academic researchers) Government (local, state, and federal) and national labs DOE (AMO), EPA, MEDC Community colleges and professional associations Industry (startups, small, medium, large corporations) Venture capital groups Investment from DOE (AMO) of $70 millions for Advanced technology development Shared infrastructure and facilities Workforce training and education
