“ ” “ ” “ ” AMU - York Your experiences matter Friends and Family Test Wards 21 & 22 have merged. Positives from the coming together: Less patient movement. Once admitted the patient will stay unless they need a speciality ward. This means a more comfortable, consistent stay and less noise. More patients being seen in our new Ambulatory Care Unit, which could mean getting home quicker and fewer patients waiting for a bed. Nurses do their documentation in the bays using ‘mini stations, making them more visible to patients and visitors. Relatives calling the ward can be put through to the nurse looking after their loved one, as nurses have mobiles to use for this purpose. Your experiences matter Friends and Family Test We give patients the opportunity to complete a feedback card which asks: “How likely are you to recommend AMU to friends and family, if they needed similar care or treatment?” Here are the results for AMU in June: 51 = 12% 92% Responses Response rate would recommend Some comments from our patients: Core Values “ We take our Trust’s Core Values very seriously. One value is “listening in order to improve” and we hope that by listening to your comments about our service, we can keep making things better for the future patients, visitors and staff. If you have a query, comment or concern, speak to the Nurse in Charge in the first instance. You may also wish to contact PALS (01723 342434) our Patient Advice & Liaison Service. You will be treated with respect and should never worry about repercussions of raising concerns – we value your feedback. Everyone has been so helpful Good to hear it – thank you! ” “ This is such lovely feedback – we are very pleased to hear your kind words and proud of the staff who helped you. Everyone who attended my needs did so in a friendly, compassionate and efficient way ” “ Sorry this was the case – now that we have merged wards we hope it will be a lot quieter. Noisy all day long ”
