We are a Veterans Service Organization, established in 1928 and chartered by the United States Congress in 1984. American Gold Star Mothers continue to honor our sons and daughters through service -- service to veterans and patriotic events.

Throughout the country, local chapters serve in their communities Throughout the country, local chapters serve in their communities. Much of the service and fellowship of American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. happens at the chapter level. You can find your nearest chapter on our website. If there is not a chapter near you, we can help you to form one.

We Honor Through Service To our Fallen We find strength in the fellowship of other Gold Star Mothers who strive to keep the memory of our sons and daughters alive by working to help veterans, active duty military, their families and our community. Throughout the nations our mothers participate in memorial services and other occasions that honor the fallen from all our nations conflicts as well as peacetime service.

To our Veterans American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. serves on the Advisory Board of the Veterans Administration Voluntary Service (VAVS). Each year our members give thousands of hours, dollars, and in-kind donations to our Veterans Hospitals, Centers, and Cemeteries. We are a 501(c)3 national nonprofit Veterans Service Organization (VSO) founded in Washington, DC in 1928, incorporated, and chartered by the United States Congress.

To our Troops We serve our troops and their families by raising funds for various nonprofit organizations that support our active duty members who are in need.

To our Families Fisher House - Dover, DE Our organization raised over $80,000 to help build a Fisher House in Dover, Delaware. Many of our departments and chapters continue to raise funds for Fisher Houses under construction throughout the nation. Fisher House, Murfreesboro, TN
