Why are images used in websites? Log onto the PC and while it is loading answer the questions: Why are images used in websites? Write down what you know about how to make images effective in websites: To advertise, promote, inspire, make you think, provide information visually. Effective use – cropping for size, feathering, layering, effects, cloning, hyperlinking.

How do these images make you feel? SMSC students should be encouraged to think deeply about the power of images for evoking emotions.
