Few Things you need to Consider Regarding Oil Change of your Car

Oil refers to be the blood of your car engine that basically used to lubricate the moving parts of your car and protect all its components from overheating.

Changing the oil of your car on a regular interval is an extremely important part in keeping all of its components in good operating condition.

The oil change typically recommended in your car by considering the car and the type of oil used in it every time.

If you are confused about the car oil and the right time to change it, then go through the following points to get a clear idea about it.

How often should you check the oil level?

You need to look over your car's oil level. To check the oil level, review the owner's manual and follow the automaker's recommendations.

Now the new cars don't have traditional dipsticks for manual inspection of the oil level. It has a new electronic oil monitor to check the oil level.

Through inspection if you found that the oil level of your car is below the minimum mark, then add oil in it.

Also pay attention to the oil color for identifying the coolant leaking into the engine that may damage the internal part of your car.

When you change the oil?

By going through the owner's manual you can get all the details about your car maintenance and regular oil change intervals.

Don't make any types of assumption as per your past experience or the guidance provided by those mechanics who want to make the profit.

Now many cars have a service reminder monitor that can monitor the number of miles your car can be traveled and alerts the driver regarding oil change.

Make sure that you will perform the oil change on your car soon, after you receive the alert from the service reminder monitor.

How often you change the oil?

Some automakers suggested for performing the oil change of your car on every 3,000 miles or every 3 months.

Many of them also suggested the oil change interval between 7,500 or even 10,000 miles as well as 6 or 12 months.

By going through the owner's manual in detail, you can do the oil change. Manual instructions on oil change make your engine lubricated and well-performed.

Too often oil change also damage your car. If you drive your car few miles each year, then you can perform the oil change in 6,000 to 7,500 miles.

Choose the right oil

Before choosing the oil for your car engine take a look at your owner's manual and don't choose the synthetic oil if there is no need.

Now in the new model cars, the weight of your car's motor oil is printed on the cap where you add the oil.

Before you visit the mechanic, make sure that you have enough knowledge about the oil to control the cost of the oil they are putting in.

If you don't know what oil you need to use in your car due to the misplaced of the owner's manual, check your car's local dealer for your particular model.
