Make solar torch We want to use solar energy so we need something to transform that energy in electricity: this is solar cell. The problem we have to face is that in night there isn’t sun at night so the torch can´t be used without rechargeable batteries. These are recharge by solar energy and then gave us electricity in the night. We link the battery to the solar cells with wires and we put in the middle a diod. This because we want the electricity only go from cells to batteries and not vice versa.

The electricity goes into wires to the leds and where the switch is on they procuce light. We have decided to use ledsinstead of light bulb because of that we can save a lot of energy. Then we have finished our circuits and we just had to put it into a shell. So we take some old plastic pipe and with it we built a plastic shell and a switch.
