The theme of 2014 CAETS Convocation : Engineering and the Future of Mankind

Theme: Theme: Time & Place The Convocation will last two days covering plenary session and parallel sessions. It will be held in Beijing on June 3-4, 2014.

Plenary Session 1) Opening Ceremony (in the morning) Theme: Theme: (First Day) Plenary Session 1) Opening Ceremony (in the morning) The senior leader from Chinese government and renowned representative of world engineering and sciences community will deliver keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Convocation.

2) Plenary Presentation (in the afternoon) Theme: Theme: 2) Plenary Presentation (in the afternoon) The plenary presentations will be given by the leaders of CAE, CAETS and its member academies as well as the well-known engineers and scientists in the world.

Parallel Sessions (Second Day) Theme: (Second Day) Parallel Sessions The several parallel sessions will be set up based on some key and increasing important issues for the sustainable economic and social development of the world in future. The engineering community will use this platform to discuss what we can contribution to meeting these grand challenges from our specific technical field.

Parallel Session (Cont.) Theme: Parallel Session (Cont.) The topic of each session will be finalized after coordinating among CAETS member academies, following the Convocation theme: Engineering and the Future of Mankind
