Matthew 28:18-20 – “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

I. “All Power and Authority is Given unto Me” – v.18 John 6:46 – “Never a man spake like this man”

II. “Go Ye Therefore and Teach All Nations” – v.19 ₋ Present tense and it is also imperative ₋ This is something that is to be done now and it is a clear command ₋ “The Great Commission” involves two things: • Teaching / Sharing the Gospel • Baptism / Bringing them into fellowship Jude 20 – “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

III. “Teaching Them to Observe All Things III. “Teaching Them to Observe All Things Whatsoever I have Commanded You” – v.20 ₋ “A student learns what the teacher teaches A disciple becomes what the teacher is.” II Timothy 3:16 – “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

III. “Teaching Them to Observe All Things III. “Teaching Them to Observe All Things Whatsoever I have Commanded You” – v.20 ₋“A student learns what the teacher teaches A disciple becomes what the teacher is.” ₋The Word of God is a profitable teaching agent in discipleship 1. For doctrine / The Word tells us what to believe 2. For reproof / The Word tells us what not to do (Pointing out sin) 3. For Correction / The Word tells how to change 4. For instruction / The Word tells us how to live right

IV. “Lo, I am with You Always” – v.20 ₋ A going church will be blessed with a sense of His presence! ₋ We are to be consumed with telling others about Jesus Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.”

IV. “Lo, I am with You Always” – v.20 ₋ A going church will be blessed with a sense of His presence! ₋ We are to be consumed with telling others about Jesus Romans 10:1 – “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.”
