3. Addressing users’ needs 16 countries mentioned having a dialogue mechanism with users The aspects of statistical programmes consist of the choice of topic; the concepts, definitions and measurement used; the data collection programmes, the type of analysis and statistical output; and the dissemination of the output. Few forms of dialogues are as follow: - The working group on gender statistics might function in this way; but it is just formed. - During the work of producing publication on gender statistics in 2011 there were several meetings with users and producers - Meetings, seminars organised by Parliament Commission for equality of chanses between women and men, or by Non-Governamental Agencies, or by the Ministry of Labour division on equality between women and men. - Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic-seminars,workshops

4. Assessment of mainstreaming gender in National Statistical System 1. Other reference documents Other documents include: - The GSS has an agreed policy on the publication of gender-disaggregated statistics: "The GSS aims always to collect and make available, for example in publications, statistics disaggregated by gender, except where considerations of practicality or cost outweigh the identified need. All GSS publications contain the name and contact details of a person who can explain which, if any, of the statistics are available by gender and how they can be obtained.” - A law that specifies the need for mainstreaming the gender perspective in official statistics - NAP on Gender Equality - Annual Programme of Statistical Research - The National Strategy of Gender Equality for 2010 - 2013 (hereafter Strategy) and its NAP 2) The overall objectives can be summarised as : Ensure that gender statistics are produced, improved and expanded where necessary, and ensure that that these data are made available and used by policy makers. These documents provide the overall objectives of gender statistics mainstreaming in national statistical systems.
