A. Big Bang Theory The universe began with a tremendous explosion of matter, bright lights and intense energy. The universe began from one point billions of years ago and has been expanding every since

Why is space exploration and travel important Why is space exploration and travel important? Provide an example of a benefit to Earth that has been obtained from space. It allows us to access information about the Sun and planets in our solar system. It is also used as a tool for understanding properties and processes of Earth. The discovery of the hole in the ozone layers was detected and visualized via artificial satellite. Space exploration is vital in obtaining data that can be further utilized for the betterment of humankind.

Light-year The distance light travels in a year ~6 trillion miles;  used primarily outside the solar system Light-minute  The distance light travels in a minute.  The sun takes 8 minutes to reach Earth, therefore it is 8 light-minutes away from Earth. Angstrom  The measure of electromagnetic radiation wavelengths. One hundred-millionth of a cm; the size of an atom is 3-10 angstroms.
